Aside from making amazing cake, Grandma Viola was a seamstress. In the early ’40s, she sewed buttons onto ladies blouses in a St. Louis, MO factory. (This is where she met my Grandpa in an elevator for the first time!). When Grandma Viola retired, she brought home jars and jars of buttons. As a kid, you can imagine the excitement seeing all the different shapes, sizes, and colors of buttons! The possibilities of creating something fabulous with buttons is endless. Today, I’d like to share some retro button inspired accessories.
Enjoy! Love, Lulu Mae
